Objective: Ensure that the homepage has a proper heading hierarchy with a single H1 and correctly placed H2 headers to align with Google’s SEO best practices.
Tools Required:
ClickFunnels Editor 🧰
Access to desktop and mobile views 💻📱
Headline Structure in ClickFunnels Procedure:
1. Identify and Set the H1 Header
Locate the main title of the homepage (e.g., your primary offer or business name).
✅ Confirm it is using a Headline element.
⚠️ Ensure only one H1 header exists on the page.
🎨 If the headline is split into two parts for styling (e.g., different colors), consider using bold styling to differentiate colors within one single element.
💡 Use bold + color changes rather than two separate headline elements.
❌ Avoid splitting into two separate headline elements
2. Assign H2 Headers Correctly
🏷️ Use Sub-headline elements for H2s.
📝 Example sections that should be H2s:
“Salsa Classes Online”
“Bachata Classes”
🔄 Make sure these sections are not mistakenly set as H1s.
3. Convert All Other Text to Paragraphs
🧾 Any descriptive or body text should use Paragraph elements.
🔍 Review each section:
❌ If it’s currently a Sub headline or Headline but just explanatory text → change it to a Paragraph.
✍️ Examples:
Text below class names
Footer content (e.g., "© 2025")
Descriptive lines or link blocks
4. Update and Test All Links
🔗 Double-check all hyperlinks to make sure they:
Point to the correct destinations
Use consistent, up-to-date URLs
🧪 Test each link on the live version
⚠️ Be cautious when editing — if a link is working, avoid changing it unless necessary
5. Set the Correct Year in Footer
📅 If the footer has an outdated copyright:
✏️ Update it to “2025” (or current year).
6. Edit Desktop Version First
🖥️ Focus all edits on the desktop version first.
☝️ Only one element was marked “desktop only.”
📲 Avoid manual changes to mobile unless necessary—edits made on desktop typically sync automatically.
Checklist Before Publishing:
✅ Only one H1 header on the page
✅ All sub-sections use H2 (Sub headline) elements
✅ All regular content uses Paragraph elements
✅ All links are tested and correct
✅ Footer year is current
✅ Mobile version reflects desktop edits correctly
Notes:
🙅♂️ Avoid creating separate versions for mobile and desktop headers unless absolutely required.
🔧 Minimizing mobile edits reduces layout inconsistencies and potential bugs.
📈 Clean header hierarchy = better SEO performance and easier Google indexing
